History and valuesOur company dates back to the 1950s and was built around a local speciality of the same name – La Veritable Lucullus de Valenciennes – a terrine of foie gras layered with smoked beef tongue .
In 2001 the company was the first in France to launch a selection of confits to accompany Foie Gras and Lucullus followed in 2008 by a range of Confits ideally matched with Cheeses.
We are a small company dedicated to produce good food with a sens of innovation and elaborated with care by hand.

While English Chutneys are vinegar based and sharper on the palete our Confits are a melange of fuit and sugar with an added twist of wine, vinegar, spices or herbs. Much less sweet than jams and less sour than vinegar based chutneys Confits really elevates the enjoyment of Cheese and will delight gourmets on special occasions and make an everyday snack special .
Confits for foie gras :
In 2003 Lucullus was the first company in France to launch onion and fig based confits to accompany foie gras and patés.
